John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched many people by his lyrics. Most of his songs have roots in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell New Mexico. However, he was enthralled by Colorado. He later settled in Aspen. Denver's songs that he sang about his home state drew many tourists to Colorado. I can't think of another performer that embodies Colorado like John Denver said G. Brown curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first to be inducted into the hall. He is now the symbol of Colorado to people around the world. When you encounter people from other nations, for instance New Zealanders and ask them "I come originally from Colorado" and they respond with Oh John Denver. Brown declared. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short time in folk-based groups was Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the track inspired by Johnny Cash, but Denver was able to hear an early version of the song and realized the song would be a top 10 hit. The song was performed on stage in Washington D.C. to a huge crowd, the singer made a recording a few days afterward.
