Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros along with traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos, as well as opera, and various other dramatic types. The mother of her child taught her to sing, however she started intensifying her vocal instruction under Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera tenor. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After relocating into California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before returning to her new home in southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is passionate about music, art, and performing keep her engaged with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana is also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her passion and appreciation for the traditional Latin American songs with others while she hopes to instill a sense of for younger generations in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
